Custom Jewelry

At David Reynolds Jewelry & Coin, custom jewelry is not outsourced: it is crafted, refined, and brought to life in-house by our team of five full-time jewelers and dedicated designer. With decades of combined bench experience, advanced gemological training, and a deep understanding of both modern and antique techniques, our team has the talent and technical skill to create pieces that are as structurally sound as they are beautiful.

We approach each project with precision, creativity, and care. We also work thoughtfully within your budget and are happy to explore cost-saving options — such as modifying high-quality pre-made mountings — without compromising beauty or craftsmanship.

Because each custom project receives focused bench time and detailed attention, our wait list typically runs approximately eight weeks or longer year-round. To secure your place in line, we require a $50 non-refundable design deposit at the time of consultation, which is fully applied toward the final cost of your piece.

Custom jewelry is a collaborative process — and when done well, it results in something you simply cannot find anywhere else.

Our Custom Jewelry Process

Custom Jewelry Services

  • Gold, silver, platinum, and palladium casting and fabrication

  • Advanced jewelry welding technology

  • Expert stone setting, including pavé and micro-pavé

  • Specialized techniques such as Mokume-Gane and enameling.

  • Your custom piece begins with an initial design consultation, where we discuss your ideas, inspiration, and preferences in detail. Together, we’ll create a clear vision for a one-of-a-kind design.

  • Once your design is finalized, we create a detailed 3D digital rendering so you can see exactly what your finished piece will look like before it’s made.

  • Using advanced 3D wax printing technology, we produce an exact physical model of your custom design. This ensures exceptional accuracy and craftsmanship as we move into the final creation process.

  • Casting is where your custom design becomes a lasting reality, as we carefully form it in gold, platinum, or other fine metals. This crucial step sets the stage for the final artistry and detail work.

  • Our master jewelers carefully set each stone with precision and artistry, ensuring maximum brilliance, security, and beauty. From classic prong settings to intricate pavé, every detail is handled with expert care.

  • The final step is a meticulous polish and finish, bringing out the full shine and elegance of your custom piece. Your jewelry leaves our studio looking flawless, radiant, and ready to be treasured for generations.
